Why Sri Lankan Male?

My first post, In the Beginning, explains briefly the purpose of this site and what motivated me to start it. To elaborate a bit further, it is partly a WEB 2.0 thing. Blogging makes it so easy to share one's interest with others.

Another reason is that I just can't get enough of the great looks of so many Sri Lankan men. Couple this with the fact that there is nowhere else to turn online to find such images presented together in a collection.

I've endeavored to collect and display as many images of attractive Sri Lankan men as I can find or photograph myself.

Browse through the posts linked above and discover your own favorites. My favorite post at the moment is 20-May-09's Brown Rose. The post includes poetry, artistically modified images and a dark, handsome bodybuilder. What else could one want?

The young officer's melancholic expression is transfixing! Besides that one...     

A long-running favorite:

From the 17-Oct-08 post Incredible Passion, taken by Sri Lankan photographer Dominic Sansoni.

What pulls one in to this image is the complete abandon of the wailing man, having given himself over to his pain (whatever the source), while resting in the arms of a compassionate comrade.

The emotion is so raw and so real!

It reminds me of an incident with a close friend. That friend had been in an auto crash--car totalled, he uninjured. He spent the next several hours, through the night, in a police station--alone, with no offer of compassion. When finally reaching home he collapsed instantly, shedding tears overwhelmed with emotion.
