Muscle Men = Real Men, ed. 13
And I am not really sure what else the south Indian city has going for it. I have only visited twice and only briefly then, but it certainly has a lot of young and older men with handsome features.
The muscle men, especially, are simply irresistible.
I cannot say whether or not it is mostly their handsome dark complexions. Perhaps also it is a collection of other handsome features.
Many of the men of Chennai not only look good, but they also tend to be more down-to-earth, more sincere in character. They smile back when you smile, and they approach any stranger with respect and deference. It seems to me that they cherish friendship and do not expect anything in return but sincerity.
When I take a look at a collection of images like those uploaded by Chennai bodybuilder V.C. Vinoth, I get enraptured by the images of the Tamil men I see there.
V.C. Vinoth is a prize winning bodybuildier himself. You can see him in an earlier SLM post entitled Men of Gold.
He has a great selection of Chennai and other handsome Tamil bodybuilders at his own link, Other Muscle Men. This post is my third attempt to display some of those images and I must say I have yet many more to put together.
Chennai, a Mecca?
Will someone who lives in Chennai tell me whether or not it really is an ideal place to catch many glimpses of handsome south Indian men? Or is this just the fantasy of a mind overstimulated by a few random images?
One has to notice at first the well-formed physiques of men like the one pictured here. His torso, greased up or not, is simply beautiful.
His nipples are prominent and his pecs so well formed that it is hard not to look and fantasize.
The veins in his arms, thick with blood coursing through them, appear as the very image of male virility.
All that said, however, it is mainly his deep brown complexion that makes his torso so handsome and irresistibly appealing.
Is his perfect muscular build natural or is it the product of steroids? Well, that really isn't the question for me at the moment. For the sake of the health of the athlete, however, I hope that it is natural. Whatever the case, this strong man has made his physique into a work of art.
The Real Men of Chennai, edition 13
How far is it from Dubai (where I happen to be) to Chennai (where I would surely like to be)? Or how far even from Colombo, where many of this blog's readers reside?
Not far actually--a 3 and a half hour flight from Dubai, 30 minutes from Colombo and less than 10,000 SL Rupees or 700 AE Dirham for an air ticket.
Despite near distances and affordability, time and commitments often keep us from pursuing our dreams.
Chennai is no paradise, of that I am fully aware. But it has its charms and one of those surely being its young bodybuilders, who seem today to be increasing in number.
There is now no other place in the world that I would like to go more, to meet the bodybuilders and other handsome men. Chennai as a destination is somewhere on the horizon for me.
Those who are already in Chennai need only step out of their doors.
Then they will need to summon up the courage to greet some of the handsome men they will surely encounter on the streets, in the shops, on the campuses and, most likely of all places, in the gyms. Guys, get working on your opening lines!
"Do you know where I can find a bodybuilding gym?"Chennai has a Gold's Gym. I wonder if there are any others that those who live there might recommend, where one might be so lucky to find his own real Chennai man.
The men of Chennai and the rest of Tamil Nadu are sometimes known for their propensity for hard labor.
Of course, that is often more from necessity than virtue.
We find Tamil male laborers in large numbers in places like Singapore and the Arab Gulf states, and even in other states of India where they would have migrated to find work.
I often find that these hard working men have a special appeal, not only in being handsome but also in having admirable characters.
But those Tamil men who work on building the temples that are their bodies, are the ones most to be admired. That achievement takes a special kind of fortitude and dedication.
Another (↑) strong contender (↓) and another stunning display!
The best pose one can strike is one that is not a pose at all, but just an unguarded moment frozen by a camera's shutter release mechanism.
These men are, if not handsome or beautiful in terms of pretty faces, still or perhaps even more appealing for their facial expressions, which are raw and natural, combined with physiques that are molded and polished.
It is nearly impossible not to see in these men something to be admired and respected, even without knowing who they are or how they managed to achieve what they have.
Imagine you are one of the judges in the Mr. Chennai bodybuilding championship. While such would be a great honor, the trade off would be having to eliminate any of the contestants and come away with a single top contender.
| Which Mr. Chennai?|
And the winner is...
These two muscle gods have been featured before on Sri Lankan Male.
But when I revisit their photos at V.C. Vinoth's Other Muscle Men page, I cannot resist posting their images again.
It is between contender 185 and 122 that I face the greatest dilemma in making a choice.
Should I go with the man who has the most attractive and delectable pecs or the man who has the smoothest and richest of dark complexions?
In the end I have to go with contender 122 as my choice, both for Mr. Chennai, and for Mr. Right.
I find the beauty of his complexion, his muscular tone and his overall continence quite incomparable to anyone else's.
(Now if only I could present him with his prize in person!)
South Indian Excellence
One more take on the image of perfection in the form of the men of south India, Sri Lanka and other places in the region is this photo of a young man who might be best described as an aspiring bodybuilder and an Adonis (↓).
There is not much more to say about the perfect image of the handsome young man above. I will just add that this goes to show that there is really something special about the men of Chennai.
South Indian excellence continues with the most stunning male torsos...
