What draws us to a man?                         

There is so much to the young man posing here that meets the eye.

It starts with his own eyes and his especially strong, arching eyebrows. There is something so incredibly masculine and handsome about such a well-defined feature.

They frame his eyes and seem even to suggest something of his character.

Dark, thick and long-arching brows lure the observer in to take a closer look, as if in hope of finding the source of male beauty.

Like symmetry, that most cherished attribute, well-defined eyebrows in a man imply a sort of virility and create an irresistible attraction.

What draws me to this man--first and foremost--are his thick, arching eyebrows. Secondly, he's got such a daring exhibitionist flair.

...and thirdly, this man has a wonderfully wild streak about him. Nature becomes him well.


A slender physique is favored by some. Others prefer a more muscular build. Luckily for me, I find both appealing. It increases my options.

Masculine Beauty--No Oxymoron

It sometimes has to get justification in this homophobic world. But masculine beauty, not being given its due as a norm, can be enjoyed as our secret pleasure.

No one will stop us from admiring and spending time with an attractive same-sex colleague or acquaintance. We can befriend him, we can be alone with him and no one will bat an eyelash. This is one of the secret pleasures afforded a man in a homophobic world.

Men don't wear make up--the vast majority of them do not. Is this not one of the things that distinguishes a man from a woman and defines masculine beauty? Is it not man in the flesh and in the wild that speaks to his manliness?

But is there anything wrong with metrosexual or transexual appeal? Most certainly not, in all fairness, but it is a different appeal from the truly masculine appeal of a man who exhibits traits that only the male in the species can display. Someone Knocking on the Door
